Have always dreamed of becoming a Namibian musician or do you love music? While it would be best if you have a degree or certificate in music or have studied music at the school level, you can always find a way to learn.
In any case, whether you are a graduate in music, or not, you can start out en route to becoming a professional musician.
- Learn music
mastering music can be the first step to becoming a professional Namibian musician. You can study it online in school or college or by hiring a local Namibian tutor.
- Get Registered
There are many musical unions operating in Namibia that have musicians as members. You should try to get registered in one or more of these unions. this includes the Namibian Music Industry Union (NAMIU) a trade union representing the interest of musicians in Namibia.
- Know where you are
It is not uncommon to over or underestimate oneself. If you are a musician or want to become one, it is very important that you see where you stand, You can take advice from your seniors, ask your friends, get an honest opinion, and most important of all, make sure that you know what you are doing.
- Promote yourself
The starting path to becoming a musician is the most difficult one. Since you are new on the block, you need to promote yourself and let people know about your musical talent. you can promote your music on social media or any other form

I have always loved music, but I don’t know if a 13 year old can be signed by a record label. If that happens I will be truly grateful for it.
