1. Becoming a seller
This Selling Policy applies to everyone who sells on BuyNamib and forms part of your agreement with us, together with our Terms & Conditions and Privacy Policy. To sell, you apply for a shop, verify your email, and (where applicable) pay a one-off registration fee. Your shop goes live once a BuyNamib admin approves it.
2. Registration fee
Where a registration fee applies, it is a one-off charge to activate your seller account and is shown before you pay. If your application is rejected, your registration fee is refunded in full. The fee is not a commission and is separate from any sales commission.
3. Listings & accuracy
You are responsible for your listings. Product titles, descriptions, photos, prices and stock levels must be accurate and not misleading. You must own the rights to the images and content you upload. Listings must be in the correct category and must not contain other sellers' branding or contact details.
4. Prohibited & restricted items
You may not list illegal, counterfeit, stolen, recalled, hazardous or otherwise prohibited goods, or anything that infringes intellectual-property or other rights. Regulated items may require proof of compliance. BuyNamib may remove listings and suspend shops that break these rules.
5. Fulfilment & delivery
You must process and dispatch confirmed orders promptly, keep stock accurate to avoid cancellations, and deliver items that match their listing. Communicate clearly with buyers about delivery times. Repeated late or failed fulfilment may affect your standing or lead to suspension.
6. Commission, fees & payouts
BuyNamib charges a commission on each sale; the applicable rate and any per-order charges are reflected in your dashboard. Buyer payments are collected through the Platform, and your earnings (sale value less commission and applicable fees) are paid out to your nominated Namibian bank account. You are responsible for your own taxes.
7. Returns & disputes
You must honour valid returns for items that are faulty, damaged or not as described, and cooperate in good faith to resolve buyer disputes. Where a refund is due, the corresponding amount may be deducted from your payouts. BuyNamib may mediate and make a final decision to protect buyers and the integrity of the marketplace.
8. Seller conduct
Sellers must not divert transactions off-platform to avoid fees, manipulate reviews, create duplicate shops to evade suspension, or harass buyers or staff. Treat buyers professionally and represent your shop honestly.
9. Suspension & termination
We may pause or close a shop that breaches this Policy, the Terms, or the law, or that harms buyers or the marketplace. Where appropriate we will notify you and, for non-serious issues, give an opportunity to put things right. Outstanding obligations to buyers survive closure.
10. Changes & contact
We may update this Policy as the marketplace evolves; the "last updated" date shows the current version. Questions about selling? Email [email protected].
